This program grew out of an earlier project; the Louisiana Support Network, in which IPU linked Louisiana groups to similar struggles internationally. Currently, IPU is facilitating the participation of several environmental justice networks in the Earth Summit. IPU is taking the lead in developing a broad-based international coalition of environmental justice organizations to influence the larger human rights agenda.
