Notes from Conference Call

Dear Friends,

 Sorry for the earlier message with nothing attached.  This is just a quick update with several files attached.

 1. Please find below the notes I took from the conference call.  They are not perfect, but for those who were unable to be on the call, it should be informative.  I have attached a Word version of it as well (nicely formatted).

 2. The program for the NGO Citizens Conference and the Governmental meeting is on the website www.confciudadana.cl You can now see what will happen at each hour.

 3. On the same website, you can see the complete list (so far) of all the participants for the Citizens Conference.  There will be over 100 people from Brazil and Chile attending.  Please check this list to see that you and others on your delegation are listed.  I know there are people from the US that are going who are not listed.  Again, you must register on-line for the Citizens Conference.

 4. THE DEADLINE FOR CREDENTIALS TO THE AMERICAS PREPCOM IS 28 NOVEMBER.  You must fax a list of the delegation to Geneva.  I have attached Laurie Wiseberg's Briefing #7 which gives the deadline for sending credential letters for all the upcoming UN meetings.

 5. The complete list of those organizations that are accredited to the WCAR via Geneva can be found on the website www.hri.ca .  Please check to make sure your organization is on that list.

 6. Finally, Grace sent me the file of the 33 (or so) people who participated in the mega conference call.  Someone had requested that this information be sent in word format, but I did not have time to change the file.  I know people have difficulty opening Word documents and documents in other formats.  I'm sorry.  I have included the notes for the conference call below, so you will at least have that.

  The PrepCom is less than one week away.  Are you ready?
